Bipartisan House vote passes JUDGES Act, threatened with Biden veto
The House passed the Judicial Understaffing Delays Getting Emergencies Solved Act by a 236-173 vote. Democratic House leaders urged a no vote, although 29 - including several California legislators - crossed party lines to support the bill.




The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill Thursday to add 21 permanent Article III judges in California, and 63 nationwide, over the next decade, but its fate will be determined by President Joe Biden, who has threatened a veto.
