Senate Judiciary Committee approves 2 nominees for California courts

U.S. Magistrate Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks of San Diego and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Serena R. Murillo were sent to the Senate floor.

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved the nominations of U.S. Magistrate Judge Benjamin J. Cheeks and Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Serena R. Murillo on partisan lines as Democrats raced to confirm the last of President Joe Biden's judicial nominations.
