Former 'second gentleman' joins Willkie Farr & Gallagher as partner

Douglas C. Emhoff, husband of former Vice President Kamala Harris, has joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as a partner. Emhoff will leverage his extensive legal career and global experience advising corporations, boards, and individuals on high-stakes business challenges, sensitive investigations, and complex litigation.

Douglas C. Emhoff, husband of former Vice President Kamala Harris, has joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as a partner, the law firm announced Monday.

Emhoff will advise corporations, boards of directors, and individuals on business challenges, sensitive investigations, and complex litigation, particularly matters with international scope and significant reputational concerns. He will divide his time between the firm's Los Angeles and New York offices.
