Judge orders LAX to release documents in worker death case
A judge ordered release of all documents related to a deadly CO2 system malfunction at LAX, highlighting the public entity's obligations. The plaintiff's attorney criticized the airport's compliance with disclosure laws.




A Los Angeles judge granted partial relief Tuesday to the wife of an airport worker who was killed during a carbon dioxide fire suppression system malfunction.
Plaintiff Tiffany Abraham - whose husband, Cristofer James Abraham Martin, died from exposure to toxic levels of carbon dioxide following the 2022 incident - had sued to obtain documents from the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles World Airports, or LAWA, and the agency's chief executive officer, Justin Erbacci.
