Judge denies new trial in $81M 'Servant' infringement case

U.S. District Judge Sunshine Sykes denied independent producer Francesca Gregorini's bid for a new trial in $81M "Servant" infringement case, upholding the jury's verdict.

Apple TV and filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan will not have to redefend $81 million infringement claims over the 2019 series "Servant" after a federal judge in Riverside denied the plaintiff's bid for a new trial.
