The Senate Judiciary Committee has advanced bills to audit the California State Bar and fund it for another year, and a license fee increase is unlikely. Some lawmakers made it clear they are open to more ambitious, longer-term reforms that go beyond ensuring a smooth administration of the July Bar Exam.
