UC Irvine neurosurgeon awarded $5.8M for retaliation
Dr. Mark Linskey accused the university of continuing a years-long campaign of retaliation following his whistleblower complaints. A UC Irvine neurosurgeon who spent more than a decade challenging university leadership over patient safety concerns has been awarded $5.8 million by an Orange County jury, which found the University of California retaliated against him after he blew the whistle.
