US puts historic Spring Street Courthouse in LA up for sale

The federal government is selling the historic Spring Street Courthouse in LA, a former federal courthouse now home to county civil courts. The 1940 Art Moderne building's sale prompts relocation plans.

The federal government has placed Los Angeles' historic Spring Street Courthouse -- a 17-story Art Moderne landmark that now houses county civil courts -- on the auction block, prompting officials to begin contingency planning for the possible relocation of court operations.
