Attorney General Rob Bonta announced Thursday he would appeal an Orange County judge's decision upholding Huntington Beach's voter ID law for municipal elections.
"State law supersedes local law when it comes to constitutional matters like the right to vote -- and we will continue to fight to safeguard this fundamental right in court," the attorney general said in a statement.
