UC researchers sue Trump administration over canceled federal grants

The putative class action comes as the administration reportedly plans to halt billions more in funding to California and its public universities -- threatening the future of research institutions like UC and CSU.

As the Trump administration gears up to try to take away federal grant money from California, including the University of California and the California State University system, UC faculty members and researchers filed a putative class action last week over funding that already has been canceled.
