State Bar Court recommends 30-day suspension for former director Joseph Dunn

Dunn's lawyer vowed to appeal. State Bar Court Judge Yvette Roland ruled last year that Dunn lied about using bar funds for a 2014 trip to Mongolia.

The California State Bar Court Review Department has recommended that former Director Joseph L. Dunn be suspended from the practice of law for 30 days and placed on a year of probation.

The sanctions announced Wednesday night are for actions Dunn took during his time at the agency.

"We will be appealing this baseless decision," said Alan A. Greenberg, representing Dunn as a partner with Greenberg Gross LLP in Costa Mesa.
