A Los Angeles judge has limited the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association's ability to raise or use funds without city approval under an interim agreement, while the city takes bids from other zoo organizations.

The city argues that the association, known as GLAZA, was acting as a fiduciary for the zoo, while GLAZA maintains it is an independent nonprofit.
