Families of victims from the 2021 Santa Clara VTA railyard mass shooting are urging faster depositions, saying they have evidence to begin mediation in their lawsuit against the agency and its security contractors.
The families filed a wrongful death suit in May 2022 against Allied Universal, Santa Clara County, and the county Sheriff's Office, alleging the $50 million security contracts failed to stop the shooter from bringing weapons into the railyard.
