Activision seeks dismissal of suit linking it to Uvalde shooting

Activision urged a judge to dismiss claims linking it to the Uvalde mass school shooter, while plaintiffs argued the video game publisher collaborated with gun makers to target adolescents through "Call of Duty."

Activision's attorneys on Friday sought to persuade Los Angeles County Judge William F. Highberger to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the video game publisher of aiding and abetting the mass murderer who killed children and teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

Bethany W. Kristovich of Munger, Tolles & Olson told Highberger the original complaint asserted 11 claims, six of which have since been withdrawn.
