A divided 9th Circuit panel ordered that Los Angeles' Immigrant Defenders Law Center's current and future clients are exempt from the Trump administration's Remain in Mexico program.
That will allow asylum-seeking clients of the center (ImmDef) to stay in the U.S. while their cases are heard and not be returned to Mexico by government agents, as is the current policy, lawyers said.
