Environmental groups may intervene in oil permit case

U.S. District Judge Dolly Gee allowed environmental groups to intervene in a lawsuit by Sable Offshore and ExxonMobil challenging Santa Barbara County's permit transfer process for restarting oil operations on the Gaviota Coast.

U.S. District Judge Dolly M. Gee allowed the Environmental Defense Center and its clients to intervene in a lawsuit against Santa Barbara County filed by Sable Offshore Corp. and ExxonMobil, who are trying to restart a huge oil and gas operation on the Gaviota Coast.
