Salvation Army sues Bell over gravel plant's environmental review failures

Salvation Army, with allies, sues City of Bell, alleging CEQA violations in approving a gravel processing center without proper environmental review, risking pollution near a shelter.

The Salvation Army has sued the City of Bell over plans to build a gravel processing center, claiming that the city has continuously failed to perform a proper environmental review for the project.

The lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court is the second filed by the charity organization in recent years challenging the project.
