Lawsuit accuses FAIR Plan of using unlicensed inspectors to deny claims

Palisades property owner sues California FAIR Plan, alleging unlicensed inspectors and wrongful claim denial after January wildfire, citing breaches of good faith and contractual duty.

A Pacific Palisades commercial property owner accused the California FAIR Plan of employing unlicensed, unqualified and biased inspectors after the January wildfire and ignoring the findings of its employees when it denied the claim.

The plaintiff, 1515 Palisades LLC, claims two causes of action against the insurance pool - breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing; and breach of contractual duty to pay a covered claim.
