Chamber alleges retaliation in lawsuit against Visit Anaheim
The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce filed a $7 million lawsuit against Visit Anaheim, claiming political retaliation was behind the termination of a long-standing agreement tied to tourism district funding. The Chamber is seeking damages and injunctive relief.




The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce filed an 11-count, $7 million lawsuit against Visit Anaheim last month, alleging wrongful termination of a lucrative tourism funding agreement in apparent political retaliation.
The July 24 complaint in Orange County Superior Court accuses Visit Anaheim of breach of contract and retaliation for ending a 2010 agreement that guaranteed The Chamber 3.5% of revenue from the Anaheim Tourism Improvement District.
