Judge urged to expand injunction on canceled UC grants

UC researchers asked a judge to expand a prior injunction restoring research funding, arguing that DOD and DOT grants were also unlawfully terminated under anti-DEI executive orders from President Trump.

University of California researchers are urging a San Francisco federal judge to add the U.S. Departments of Defense and Transportation to the list of agencies under a prior preliminary injunction that reinstated more than $14 million in federal research funding.
