A retired federal prosecutor in Los Angeles is taking aim at a disaster cleanup company he says charged his client for shoddy and ineffective restoration efforts to his home following the 2024 Mountain Fire in Camarillo.

Christopher D. Johnson, former senior litigation counsel for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles, filed a cross-complaint against plaintiff ServPro, which had previously claimed that his client failed to pay for their restoration work.
