State Supreme Court orders new review of CPUC rooftop solar cutback

Justices say Court of Appeal used wrong legal standard in upholding compensation reduction for solar customers.

The state Supreme Court ruled Thursday that a lower court "erred by relying on that highly deferential approach" when approving a California Public Utilities Commission decision that decreased compensation paid by utilities to customers who install rooftop solar systems.
