LA county seeks dismissal of fired probation chief's suit
L.A. County seeks dismissal of ex-probation chief Adolfo Gonzales' whistleblower lawsuit, arguing his firing stemmed from not maintaining adequate staffing. He says he was fired for reporting staff shortages to a state agency.




The County of Los Angeles is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit by former chief probation officer Adolfo Gonzales, asserting that he was fired for performance problems, including failure to maintain adequate staffing levels and failing to solve juvenile hall problems.
Gonzales, however claimed that he was fired for highlighting the low staffing levels in a report to a state agency, which he said was a whistleblower action.
