Defense attorney challenges ADA lawsuits over alleged spotter use

As ADA lawsuits target Long Beach businesses, defense attorney Michele Dobson challenges plaintiff Marvin Barnett's standing, arguing he didn't personally visit the locations and relied instead on a "spotter."

As a hearing approaches in Los Angeles this week on motions to dismiss a rash of Americans with Disabilities Act lawsuits and sanction the plaintiffs' attorneys, ADA defense lawyers have offered a bleak forecast on the defense's chances of avoiding settlement.
