Google settles data privacy suit over children's YouTube tracking
Google and YouTube agreed to pay $30 million to settle a long-running lawsuit alleging they illegally collected data from millions of children under 13 for targeted advertising, without admitting wrongdoing.




Seven months after most of the plaintiffs' claims were dismissed, Google LLC and YouTube LLC agreed to pay $30 million to settle a lawsuit that alleged the personal data of up to 35 million children under 13 was collected to direct "behavioral advertising" toward them from 2013 to 2020.
