9th Circuit vacates class status in Calico Critters choking hazard suit
A grandmother who sued over Calico Critters toys lacked standing to represent a class, the 9th Circuit ruled, because she could not show an imminent intent to buy the products again.




A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Wednesday vacated class certification of a lawsuit by a woman who sued the maker of a child's toy for allegedly being a choking hazard because defendants said she had no intention of purchasing the product in the future.
