Insurers appeal ruling in Sacramento Diocese abuse cases

Insurers for the Roman Catholic Bishop of Sacramento are challenging a bankruptcy court ruling that allowed several sexual abuse lawsuits to proceed, putting them at odds with the diocese and survivors.

A plaintiffs' lawyer representing hundreds of sexual abuse survivors has accused insurers of "playing dirty" by appealing a bankruptcy court ruling that would allow some cases to go forward.
