Skadden's dual role: Intel counsel and pro bono partner to Trump administration
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP advised Intel Corp. on its $8.9 billion deal giving the U.S. Commerce Department a 9.9% equity stake, even as the firm agreed to provide $100 million in free legal work for the Trump administration.




Skadden, Arps, Meagher, Slate & Meagher LLP is wearing two hats. The firm advised Intel Corp. on its deal in which the U.S. Department of Commerce will acquire a 9.9% stake in the struggling Santa Clara technology company while also having agreed to do $100 million in free legal work for the Trump administration.
Intel disclosed the law firm's role in advising the company in a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
