CIF seeks dismissal of high school NIL antitrust case
The California Interscholastic Federation says it has immunity from claims that it is barring high school athletes from earning compensation for their name, image and likeness. The case also targets media companies accused of profiting from athletes' rights.




The California Interscholastic Federation, or CIF, told a federal judge in San Francisco that a proposed name, image and likeness class action challenging regulations on high school athletes' compensation must be dismissed because CIF is "an arm" of the state government.
