Compton city attorney barred from using title in suit against council
A Los Angeles judge barred Compton City Attorney Eric Perrodin from using his title in his lawsuit against the city council, citing conflicts of interest and improper use of city resources. The city, represented by other attorneys, has also sued him.




A Los Angeles judge told the city attorney of Compton on Thursday that he may not call himself the city attorney in a lawsuit against the city council alleging his office was improperly stripped of important resources.
"The petitioner may not file documents with his name showing as the city attorney. He is not to do it again and must change the pleading format," Judge Randolph M. Hammock wrote in a minute order addressing a motion for preliminary injunction.
