Hagens Berman slams delay in noticing its AI-tainted briefs

Plaintiffs in the OnlyFans RICO case seek delay of dismissal hearing after AI-generated hallucinations in briefs surfaced. Hagens Berman blames lack of notice by opponents who discovered the problem, while co-counsel admits errors from personal struggles.

Nearly two weeks after failing to catch AI-generated hallucinations in opposition briefs intended to keep their lawsuit alive, plaintiffs' attorneys at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP asked a federal judge to delay an upcoming dismissal hearing due to an alleged lack of transparency from their opposing counsel.

At issue are three opposition briefs that defense attorneys at Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP found contained fake cases and fabricated legal language.
