Landlord sues real estate law firm for $94K in unpaid rent

Real estate-focused Versant Law is being sued by its San Francsico landlord for nearly $94,000 in unpaid rent after allegedly vacating the office space months before the lease was set to expire.

A downtown San Francisco real estate law firm is being sued for nearly $100,000 by its landlord, which claims the firm vacated the property and failed to pay rent for a year.

Versant Law was named in a complaint filed Friday in San Francisco Superior Court by landlord SIC-369 PINE LLC, which claims the firm hasn't paid rent since August 2024. The office lease on Pine Street was set to run through December.
