UCLA Health workplace harassment claims settled after judge dismissed an entire jury panel in a closed voir dire process criticized by legal experts as violating press rights.

After a judge's dismissal of an entire jury panel following three weeks of juror qualification proceedings that were sometimes closed to the media and public, the Regents of the University of California settled workplace harassment claims by UCLA Health employees on the eve of trial.

Counsel for the parties confirmed the settlement to Los Angeles County Judge Tony L. Richardson during a hearing on Tuesday.
