A federal judge ruled that Los Angeles-based Allen Media Group was within its First Amendment rights to lobby the Federal Communications Commission and members of Congress in opposing a hedge fund's proposed acquisition of Tegna Inc., a Virginia broadcaster that operates 64 television stations across 51 U.S. markets.
