Ferguson tries again for new trial, claims retrial was rushed
The former Orange County Superior Court judge Jeffrey Ferguson, convicted in April of murdering his wife, claims retrial was unconstitutionally rushed and key defense testimony was improperly excluded.
Former Orange County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Ferguson, convicted in April of murdering his wife in their Anaheim Hills home, is asking for a new trial.
His attorneys argue the court violated his constitutional rights by forcing a retrial only 28 days after a mistrial and by excluding key expert testimony that supported his accident defense.
