Judge disqualifies Blackstone Law over attorney's conflict in lawsuit
A judge tentatively disqualified Blackstone Law from a wage case after finding a newly hired attorney previously advised the defendant, ruling that ethical screens don't apply when lawyers switch sides mid-dispute.





An Alameda County judge has tentatively disqualified a law firm representing a worker in a wage-and-hour lawsuit against NorCal Rental Group, ruling that an attorney the firm recently hired had previously advised the defendant on the very same dispute.
