FTC, 7 states sue Ticketmaster, claim hidden fees and scalping scheme

The FTC and seven states sued Live Nation and Ticketmaster, alleging deceptive fees, enabling scalpers, and violating consumer protection laws, costing fans billions and undermining fair access to concert tickets.

The Federal Trade Commission and seven state attorneys general on Thursday sued Live Nation and Ticketmaster, accusing the entertainment giant of deceiving consumers with hidden ticket fees and profiting from scalpers who drive up resale prices.
