Court tosses former Assembly member's lawsuit against ex-wife, her sister

Former Assemblymember Roger Hernández claimed that his ex-wife, Sen. Susan Rubio, and her sister, Assemblymember Blanca Rubio, conspired to derail his consulting career.

A Los Angeles County judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by a former state lawmaker against two current ones who were once related to him.

The decision centered on a bitter dispute between former Democratic Assemblymember Roger Hernández and two sisters: his former spouse, Sen. Susan Rubio, D-West Covina, and Assemblymember Blanca Rubio, D-Baldwin Park, who succeeded Hernández in 2016.
