Judge denies motions to sanction plaintiff for 'spotters' in ADA case

A judge denied sanctions in four ADA lawsuits against Long Beach businesses, ruling the defense failed to properly serve notice and didn't meet the legal burden to justify penalties.

A Los Angeles County judge has denied sanctions sought against the plaintiff in four cases accusing Long Beach businesses, mostly pubs and bars, of violating the Americans with Disabilities Act, ruling that the motions were improperly served and that the defendant's attorney had not met the initial burden to justify them.
