A Los Angeles County judge has deemed Edison's arguments and authorities "frivolous" in its attempt to eliminate a consumer lawsuit over catch-up bills sent to 50,000 customers months after charges were allegedly incurred.
The judge overruled Edison's demurrer and denied its motion to strike, keeping alive allegations of willful disregard of the law that may bring punitive damages.
