Teachers, parents sue over California's new antisemitism law

A federal lawsuit filed in San Jose claims AB 715's vague language equates criticism of Israel and Zionism with antisemitism, chilling classroom speech and violating the First Amendment.

A group of California teachers, parents and students is suing Gov. Gavin Newsom and other state officials over AB 715. They claim the new law's attempt to fight antisemitism in public schools is so vague and far-reaching that it violates the First Amendment.
