LA County trial over Juvenile Hall delayed, state seeks receivership

Los Angeles County and state regulators agreed to delay the Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall trial until February 2026 as a separate receivership case continues, amid disputes over facility safety and compliance.

Los Angeles County's legal dispute over the fate of Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall will likely remain on hold until next year, after both sides in the case agreed Tuesday to delay further proceedings while a separate case over potential state receivership of the county's juvenile system continues.
