Delaware court approves Alcon's $18.5M purchase of Village Roadshow film rights

The ruling cements Alcon's acquisition of Village Roadshow's remaining film assets, including rights tied to Mad Max, The Matrix, and Joker franchises.

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware has approved Village Roadshow Entertainment Group's $18.5 million sale of derivative film rights to Alcon Media Group LLC, completing Alcon's acquisition of the studio's film assets out of bankruptcy and overruling objections from Warner Bros. Entertainment and Regency Entertainment.
