Private attorneys who have not been paid to represent criminal defendants since July in the Central District of California and elsewhere will get checks this week, according to the Administrative Office of the Courts.
The paychecks will be deposited starting Tuesday and again on Nov. 21, and fee bills are being processed in the order they have been approved.
