A San Jose federal judge said she is likely to issue a temporary restraining order barring OpenAI from using the word "Cameo" in its new Sora app, after Baron App argued the feature infringes and dilutes its trademark.

A San Jose federal judge said Friday she was "inclined" to grant a temporary restraining order that would block OpenAI Inc. from using the word "cameo" in its new Sora app during a Friday hearing.

U.S. District Judge Eumi K. Lee said that at the outset of the hearing, and her mind did not appear to be changed by Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan partner Margret M. Caruso -- OpenAI's attorney - by its conclusion.
