Two environmental groups sued Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, alleging he unlawfully missed multiple Clean Air Act deadlines to address ozone pollution in California and Colorado, worsening smog exposure for millions. The lawsuit, filed in federal court in California, seeks court-ordered deadlines requiring the EPA to act on overdue state implementation plans and issue federal plans where states fall short.
