Stanislaus judge alleges retaliation, disability bias by court leadership

Judge Linda McFadden alleges she was stripped of her courtroom, denied medical accommodations, and left to work alone in a vacant office after objecting to scheduling practices she believed endangered defendants' constitutional rights.

A veteran Stanislaus County Superior Court judge has sued the Judicial Council of California and Stanislaus County, alleging court leadership removed her from the bench, denied disability accommodations for chronic Lyme disease, and retaliated after she objected to calendaring practices she believed jeopardized defendants' speedy trial rights.
