Closings begin in Tyler Skaggs wrongful death trial against Angels
The family argues the club knew or should have known a team employee was supplying players with drugs that led to his fatal overdose.
The trial phase over Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs' death ended Friday, and closing arguments began Monday morning in Orange County Superior Court after Judge H. Shaina Colover read the 66-page jury instructions.
Before the jury was brought in, plaintiff's counsel disputed defense counsel's proposed jury verdict-form questions, resulting in nearly an hour of discussion with the judge.
