Pasadena asks to expedite UCLA arbitration fight over Rose Bowl
Pasadena urged a judge to accelerate UCLA arbitration hearings, arguing delays freeze litigation and block injunction efforts as the university allegedly weighs moving games from the Rose Bowl to SoFi Stadium.
In its fight to keep UCLA home football games at the Rose Bowl Stadium, the City of Pasadena on Wednesday urged a judge to expedite hearings on the university's pending arbitration and discovery motions, which the city says are procedural tactics to freeze the case while exploring a move to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
UCLA says a stay is already in place, and there is nothing in the plaintiffs' application to justify an emergency action by the judge.
