Attorneys say Tesla litigation tactics burden Alameda courts despite judge denial
Attorneys say Tesla's aggressive litigation tactics, intense discovery disputes and frequent counsel changes strain Alameda County courts, while the court disputes overload claims as major employment, injury and discrimination cases against the automaker continue.
When Elon Musk opened Tesla's first factory in the city of Fremont on a sunny day in October 2010, few could have predicted the company's explosive growth or the impact on the Alameda County Superior Court.
The court has seen more than 1,500 complaints involving Tesla, according to its website, in the last five years, and a "Tesla Day" is scheduled on the second Friday of each month to handle lawsuits regarding the company and the factory.
